Fun fact

He was taken eighth overall by Montreal in the 1995 draft, played eight NHL games, and later wrote a memoir about it called Tales of a First-Round Nothing β€” which is the most Newfoundland title imaginable.

The verdict

Hitch on Shoresy, and before that an actual eighth-overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens out of St. John's, Newfoundland. Played eight NHL games, wrote a very funny book about not playing more of them, and now plays hockey on television for a living. You cannot get more Canadian than being drafted by the Habs. Five points.
