The verdict

Born in Windsor, Ontario, and raised in Timmins after her family moved north, Shania Twain became the best-selling female country artist of all time with Come On Over. She grew up in genuine Canadian hardship and turned it into stadium country-pop heard around the world. From Timmins. That still gets us.
