The verdict
Co-founded WE Charity at age 12 with his brother Craig, turning childhood idealism into a global movement. Thornhill-born and raised, educated at Harvard and Oxford, but brought that knowledge back home to build one of Canada's most recognized (and later controversial) charities. Canada's relationship with him is complicated these days, eh, but there's no denying the homegrown roots.
