Fun fact
One of the most famous stories about Carrey is that in the late 1980s he wrote himself a cheque for $10 million for acting services rendered and dated it for Thanksgiving 1995. He carried it in his wallet for years. Then, after films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber, he started earning sums in that range.
