Fun fact

She plays the Japanese-Canadian mother of a Canadian hockey prodigy, which makes her one of the very few people on this site whose Canadian connection is entirely a matter of casting.

The verdict

Taiwanese-American, best known for nearly three decades of American network television and now Yuna Hollander — mother to Heated Rivalry's Canadian lead. Filmed in Ontario, which is a genuine Canadian credit, but the connection ends at the call sheet. Faux Canuck, warmly.
